My daughter loves penguins, so when I signed up to participate in blogging with the other Winter Wonderland bloggers, I knew what that I wanted to do a fun arts/crafts involving a penguin! At first I was thinking of making a styrofoam penguin, but we are low on funds at the moment so I wanted a cheaper craft that was still fun to do! Thus, the idea of potato print penguins was born!

This week's bedtime story was a big hit for Emilio (almost 20 months), as well as with his big sister! We have been reading Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton. Inside the book there are a lot of different animals you would find in a barn. If you read the book 
For math last week, Esmeralda (3.5 years old) and I wanted to explore the different kind of lines there are. We decided to explore straight lines, parallel lines, and curved lines. You could do this same activity and include other fun lines, like perpendicular or zig-zag lines! I wanted to do something a little seasonal as well, so I found free clip art of an elf carrying presents and a North Pole sign. I then created the idea of helping each elf get to the North Pole with this line matching
